Laoyi dreaming !!!

Usually when i am in living room and talking on the phone, i will look at Laoyi and Momo. Last night while i was chit-chatting with my sister on the phone, at first i saw Laoyi sleeping there with his eye close... So relaxing.... Suddenly he shacking there for few seconds, then stopped. And shacked for few seconds again then suddenly wake up! Thought of asking Ming look at him but he already wake up.

I thought only dog will dream while sleeping...

After i touched and rubbed laoyi's back, Momo starts to become fierce to laoyi and even fight with him! Never seen Momo like this before! I guess he is jealous....

As usual, Momo is so into the camera~ Even I don't wanna take his picture or video, he will always make sure that he will be in the photo or video. Hmmm~~

Mili: Sorry for long time didn't update my guinea pig blog. I was very busy and hope that i can update my blog more often from now onwards...

Never seen Momo sleep with eye close. But Laoyi, most of the time sleep with eye close and don't care of everything while sleeping. Feel safe beside Momo perhaps.... Cos Momo will always be our victim. Haha!

Milk Time !!!

Almost everytime i walk near them, they sure drinking milk.... eat and drink a lot... huh~~~

my 2nd grandson....

This is my 2nd grandson, Mimi's 2nd son! :) His right leg looks like wearing a white socks. He is the one that always isolate himself and don't want to eat. He was born in 4th June, 4:15pm and passed away 8th June, 7pm...

He suffered a lot before he rest for forever... He had abdomen pain. We brought him to the vet but after ate the medicine and food that given by the vet, his shivering get worsen and i can see he really suffer a lot a lot and tried very hard not to rest... but he really cannot stand up and just lied down. We were beside him and keep on telling him everything will be okay and we will always always and always love him...

His nickname "daydreamer"... I will always remember him.

The white one is 1st one come out from Mimi's tummy... Beside the white one is the 3rd came out... Now the 2nd one very weak and don't wanna drink milk or eat... very worry bout him... Ow, by the way, the 1st and 2nd one is male and the 3rd one is female...

I went to the vet and asked for the price to nurture Momo and the price is RM200. Cannot believe so expensive. Now, we separate momo with them~~ when the babies grow up a bit and fully eat pellets and drink water, then will put the males to momo side.

Yesterday (4th June) around 4pm, Mimi delivered 3 little babies.... very very cute....

Soft soft fur for Momi !!!! Hurray !!!

Last two days, Ming went to Jusco to buy Johnson's baby bath (blue colour) body shampoo. In the same evening, Ming bath Momo with the body shampoo. Momo's fur become so soft!!!! Really very soft!!! Previously we used small animal shampoo to bath Momi, their fur soft, but really not as soft as this time.


story time:

20th -27th may we went to Sandakan, Sabah (Ming's hometown). Cannot believe that 1st time in my life saw Old English Sheep dog is in Sandakan, near Ming's resident. It is hard to find Old English Sheep dog in Malaysia due to the weather. The dog's owner told us that she switch on the air-con for the dog. If not, the dog will have skin problem. Then, she told us she is using Johnson's baby bath to bath the dog, even the normal dog shampoo also cannot prevent the skin problem of that dog...


****** The dog owner has 3 dogs... All in very good shape and good condition.

A night that rain heavily, we heard kittens "miao+ing" very loudly at downstairs... We went down to see what is happening, one of the kitten fell into the drain. Ming took back that 2 kittens and bath them then put in the felton box. Momo is so curious about it. Since he is so cursious about it, we put him into the box together with them. :)

When the rain stopped, we took the kittens down and put back to the same place.

I like to carry Momo like that cos he will stay very very calm and lie very comfortable on my shoulder... Just like carrying a baby~~ But for mimi, she will bite my shirt whenever i put her on my shoulder or lap.

Confirmation of Mimi's pregnancy status~~~

Finally very sure that Mimi is pregnant. Her tummy now kinda big... I cannot wait to see her deliver baby... :)

Ribena for guinea pig....

Last night i tipped my finger into my Ribena drinks and wiped it on Momo's lips. At first he ran away because he thought that i am going to disturb him AGAIN. After he tasted the Ribena, he came to me very very fast!!! He loves Ribena.... Mimi also same.... I gave them some. After finished, they keep on finding in their cage, hope can taste the Ribena again but i dont give them much because all in all, Ribena is a processed product for human, not small animal~~~

23rd ApriL: I won't give Momi Ribena anymore because ants came to attack their cage...

vitamin supplement

This is the vitamin supplement that i bought for Momo and Mimi. It is new packing with blue cap. Previously is yellow cap. It cost RM4.50. They really like it. Those in the video and photo that with green colour water, is this one...







I have continuously give them drink this one for about 4 months already. I feel wanna change to another kind of vitamin supplement liquid form but the pet shop next to my living place only sell this one.

The reason i wanna change to another one is because everytime i use for about half of the bottle, "this" (shown in the photo), will appear under the bottle. I dunno what is that.

Momo stole vegetable and get caught!

We were putting the organic vege on the floor beside Momo's cage. While he was out for a walk, he saw that vege.......

This is what left on the fleece after they make love.... Momo's semen... It gets harden very fast.

The time we took this photo, is the time we washed the fleece for few times already. It sticks very very strongly to the fleece... I scare the fleece teared... So, i left it there.

That night, is the first time i gave them eat red pepper. After ate for few pieces, Momo started to chase Mimi around and make love with her. Within 2 hours, they make love more than ten times... I don't think it is because of the red pepper, after that time, every weekend i will give them red pepper. Nothing happened although they eat for 2 nights! :D

While i was cleaning their cage, i put them into separate buckets. This scene makes me so touching.... stand high up just want to see each other. Don't forget Momo is a very fat guinea pig, he needs more and more energy to carry his fat tummy up....

What guinea pig afraid the most???

So far, i observed that they scare of sour smell such as vinegar and orange skin. Vinegar is easy to get and very easy to handle.

To avoid Momo biting his igloo, i wipe some vinegar at the place that he usually bite. He will away from that for around one day... Vinegar easily evaporate, so after one day, Momo is back to his normal route again....

While Ming is changing their fleece and blanket, they make their another way to go down... Previously Mimi straight away jumped down. [scared me]

-pen drive-

Last weekend went to Low Yat to buy a pen drive for Momi. 4GB's pen drive, cost RM33. Cannot believe Momi's photo and video more than 4GB, have to delete a lot. Next time, when reach 4GB again, have to transfer them back to external hard disk and that external hard disk will only put their file.

Most of the time while we focus our attention to Mimi, Momo will come near and try everything to get the attention back. When we take out the camera, Momo will automatically stand in front of the camera. Hardly snap Mimi's picture because of Momo's behaviour....

Poo Poo Half Way

Momo loves to lie down with his poo poo hanging half way in his butt butt. When he stand up and walk only the poo poo will drop down. But Mimi never did that.... Almost 10 months taking care Momo, I really feel that he is not an ordinary guinea pig...

Lonely lonely night without Mimi... He slept under the fleece try to cover himself up. Guess he really get so bored without Mimi.

-Fish-

We bought some small fishes to accompany Momi but they seems like don't care about those fishes.... They don't feel curious to the fish at all. Few weeks later, those fishes died. Ming gets very sad but we know that we are not good in handling fish.

***** I stole a huge beaker from my uni's lab to become my fish's aquarium... Don't tell anyone... shhhh..... haha!

Difference between male and female guinea pig

Momo (male) is active. Almost every morning will "exercise" in his cage by running extremely fast! His cage get dirty faster than Mimi's.

Mimi (female) is not so active compare to Momo, seldom see her running fast in the cage. She always lie down at a corner relaxing. Mimi knows how to poo poo at a corner, very very hygienic guinea pig.

After putting them together, the cage become big. I put one side their food, center is their "house" and another end is empty. Momo learns to poo poo at the corner from Mimi. At least now the empty side will flood with poo poo first before flooding the center and the food part of the cage. :D


The most important thing is, male guinea pig has "2 balls" which can see in the picture.... Oppsss....

After adopted Momo and Mimi for nearly 8 months, I finally open the center part of the fence during Valentines' day. From now on, Momo and Mimi are living together. They no more get bored and always play together, and sometimes fight too. Most of the time they will fight to get the food first but of course won't fight till get injured. It just a small action to chase another away.

stuff that used to build my guinea pig's cage

Mimi becomes Momo's neighbour. I have to cover the center using the leftover coroplast because they keep on biting the steel when they see each other. At the same night after putting them into this new cage, momo climb up the cage and go into mimi's place! It makes me really frustrated. After that day, i put the yellow cover of the felton box on the center of the cage, with the food, shampoo everything on top (become heavy). Momo never can go to mimi's place anymore.

The teddy bear, Mimi keep on biting the fur of the bear. Maybe she thought that is hay.

Felton box is not a good idea to let them live in. When the weather is hot, inside the felton box will be extremely hot. There is no air circulation for Momo and mimi's house! I decided to make them a nice house, at the same time i can always watching their moves, or maybe they are watching our moves. :-) This picture shows momo's new house (igloo) and new cage. The previous house that black colour one, he ate it all. haha!

The cage might be a bit different from other people's cage because they are using cube and mine using top of the BBQ set that "thing" [cost much cheaper than cube and not heavy at all!!]. I used coroplast as the flooring. Then, put the blanket to absorb guinea pig's urine. Fleece on top of the blanket, to "filter" the poo poo from blanket. I used fleece because it will not absorb water. So, the urine of the guinea pig will flow down to the blanket. Usually, 3 to 4 days will change the fleece and blanket one time. Lastly, clip the fleece using paper clip. Must clip the fleece properly because Momo will try to go under the fleece (It happened few times!!!). This kind of flooring will save the newspaper and more environmental i guess.
